Lower Priced Designer Lines...

These days of economic hardships everyone is trying to save money. Therefor some high-end designers have teamed up with stores like Target and H&M to sell lower priced pieces. This is really cool because some people like myself would never be able to afford a piece by such designers like Alexander McQueen, but now that he has teamed up with Target I can! I just checked Target.com and the collection is pretty cool..it includes a leather vest, leggings, sweaters, skinny jeans, tattoo print tees and dresses. Oh and some pieces are on sale at Target.com...
Alexander McQueen white shirt dress only $9.98 on Target.com

Alexander McQueen one-shoulder dress $12.48 on Target.com
Boho Chic designer Tracy Feith has also teamed up with Target. His floral prints are very nice..very sixties..And the collection includes a maxi dress ( which I didn't really like) ,a black leather biker jacket (which I loved), floral dresses and blouses, and some mod looking pieces.

Tracy Feith maxi dress $44.99

Tracy Feith leather Jacket $139.99 and dress $40

Now my favorite lower priced collection: Matthew Williamson for H&M. This collection hit select stores on April 23, 2009. And it's a combination of Williamson's previous collections. It includes a peacock dress, a pretty sequined dress, and bold bright colorful pieces..like a yellow silk tunic for only $69.00. So fun for summer!!

Matthew Williamson Silk Tunic $69
Matthew Williamson sequined dress $249

Relief Beads for Darfur...

A couple of days ago while searching online for pretty bracelets I came across this website: http://www.reliefbeads.org/, And I found some fresh handmade African bracelets. This website is runned by Relief International which is an nonprofit that raises money to support refugees in Darfur. They operate the second largest refugee camp, administer medical care at many clinics, and help treat malnourished children. With money raised they build the only women's center in Darfur.

I strongly support them. I think what they do is awesome. And I love their unique handmade bracelets. They look great in pairs of 3, and cost only $10 each. Oh and another thing: They are "green", so shop green! It's good for our planet.

Spring/Summer Cardigans

Cardigans are a must have for me this spring. I literally build my entire work wardrove around them. And now that summer is coming I am going to buy more in various colors. I know it sounds funny..Cardigans for summer? But yes cardigans for summer.. they are perfect to cover up when you get the occasional chills in the office or for those fun bonfires at the beach when it starts to get chilly. You can wear them over t-shirts, blouses, dresses, with jeans, shorts, and they can be dressed up with accessories. Here are some fabulously affordable ones:

My favorite Spring/Summer 2009 trend...

This year definitely the flower girl trend. A while ago I learned to embrace comfort , and express my free Spirit, but of course in style. So what could be better? Flowy flowery dresses, and tops in beautiful colors. I hope this trend lasts forever!

Here is my runway inspiration:

Diane Von Furstenberg, ETRO, Nanette Lepore

And the budget friendly: All Forever 21

To complete this laid back look don't forget the pretty headband and comfortable sandals..
